HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to announce Paul Smith's latest signing.

​

Midfielder Isaac Adegoke has signed for the Yeltz from Lye Town.


Paper work permitting he will be available for tomorrows game. 

 

''Isaac was the best player on the park when we played Lye a couple of weeks ago,'' Paul stated, ''After speaking to him it was obvious he was hungry to kick on. Young, athletic and very fit. I’m looking forward to working with him.''

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Kieran Morris has left the club.

 

Kieran has completed 108 appearances for the Yeltz, scoring 8 goals.

Three in at the Yeltz as an old face returns

​

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to confirm three new signings, one of which will be very familiar to the Yeltz faithful.

​

Striker Luke Postle and defender Ethan Green have made the pathway progression from our Academy.


''I had heard very good reports from our academy staff about these two boys,'' Paul Smith stated, ''so we’ve had them in training with the first team and I’ve been very impressed. It’s crucial that those impress in the academy get an opportunity within the first team set up. 
Ethan was on our bench on Saturday, and both will feature in this evenings senior cup tie.''

Returning to the Yeltz is fans favourite Rob Evans, who, paperwork permitting, will be available for selection this evening. 

​

Rob has 114 appearances and 5 goals under his belt so far.


On Evo's return Paul said, ''I didn’t want to lose Evo in the summer but respected his reasons for leaving at the time, he’s far too good to be dropping levels yet and I think he understands that now. I’m glad to get him back and he can’t wait to get started again.''

Yeltzman on loan

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Caine Elliott is going on a one month loan to Rugby Town.

 

''Caine has started brilliantly with us since stepping up a number of levels,'' Paul Smith stated, ''it’s important we keep him sharp while he is learning the level. So four 90 minutes will do that.''

We wish Caine all the best in his time away from us and look forward to seeing him back in a Yeltz shirt soon.

Sim upgrade

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to welcome back a player who will need no introduction to Yeltz fans.

​

Simeon Cobourne has returned to the Yeltz after leaving in the Summer to join Coleshill Town.

​

Sim has so far scored 45 goals in 95 Yeltz appearance and will be looking to add to his tally of both.

​

On his latest signing Paul Smith commented, ''Sim needs no introduction, delighted to have him back and hungry.''

​

''Unfortunately Jack picked up some niggles in pre season and never really got going, Paul Smith stated, ''we’ve started the season reasonably well which has narrowed his chances down now fit. At his stage of his career he wants to be playing and I appreciate that. I wish him all the best.''

After impressing in the last two friendlies defender Luke Redfern has joined the Yeltz following his release from Championship club Stoke City.

''Luke has looked very assured in both games and has stood out in our training sessions so far.'' Paul Stated, ''After his recent release from Stoke this is a fantastic platform for him to showcase his talents.''

Paul Smith has swooped to sign midfielder Todd Parker.


on his third confirmed signing of the day Paul commented, ''Although I’m happy with the options we have in the midfield area, it’s impossible not to be interested when a player of Todd’s ability becomes available.
Not only available, he has shown a keenness to come to us. That speaks volumes for what we are trying to build as a club. This is a very exciting signing for us.''

Striker Ryan Boothe has signed for the Yeltz having previously played for Sutton Coldfield, Rushall Olympic, Lye Town and Anstey Nomads.

​

''Ryan looked very impressive for us against a strong Kidderminster side,'' Paul Smith stated, ''with Richard Gregory out for at least another three weeks, it was important to bring another striker in to help Miracle with the workload. Ryan is big and strong and fits the bill perfectly.''

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to confirm that Jak Hickman has pledged his future to the Yeltz after agreeing terms for the new season.

​

Joining us towards the business end of our promotion season Jak made 7 appearances.

​

One player who will be leaving is Nat Kelly who has decided to move on to pastures new, Nat scored 6 goals for the Yeltz in 46 appearances.

Jack has completed 74 Appearances so far, scoring 10 goals.

​

Both Josh Quaynor and Tom Turton have decided to seek pastures new.

​

Josh made 41 Yeltz appearances last season, Tom completed 31 appearances, scoring 3 goals.

​

On their departure Paul Smith commented, ''Two fantastic Servants, who both played crucial parts in our promotion.''

A huge welcome to young midfielder Caine Elliot who we have signed from Rugby Town.

''Caine has stood out as one of the best young midfielders, if not the best at step 5.'' Paul commented. ''He has had a number of admirers and we’ve beaten off some stiff competition.

Football evolves, it’s ever changing and players ultimately will come and go, old fans favourites become club legends, then it’s time for the new crop to stake their claim to fans hearts.

I’m pleased how the squad is shaping up, not only with the new signings, but as important if not more was retaining a core group from last years squad, plenty more work to do with discussions on going, but I feel we’ve made a good start.''

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can confirm that Simeon Cobourne has left the club.

​

During his two spells with the Yeltz Sim amassed 95 appearances scoring 45 goals including that extra time winner at Barnet in the FA Trophy.

​

''Sim has been another fantastic player for us over a number of years, ''Paul Smith stated, ''I was delighted he too could get the promotion he deserved before heading to pastures new.''

​

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can today confirm that our wonderful Captain Rob Evans has left the club.

​

Evo was one of Paul Smith's first signings when he joined the club back in 2019 and has since gone on to make 114 Yeltz Appearances scoring 5 goals, most of them spectacular.

 
''Rob has been an unbelievable player and friend to me personally for 5 years and Halesowen for 4.'' Paul Smith stated, ''We’ve made some brilliant memories, and what a way for him to bow out with promotion.''

Coaching staff appointed

​

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are pleased to confirm that Paul Smith has moved swifty to appoint his coaching staff ahead of the forthcoming season.

​

The post of First Team Coach has been filled by Martin Riley who brings with him a wealth of experience having played for Kidderminster, Mansfield and Wrexham amongst others as well as gaining an England 'C' cap in 2009.

​

''Martin ticks the boxes, a pro for many years, who has completed his UEFA B licence, and now looking to make a name for himself in the coaching sector.'' Paul Smith stated.

​

On completing his move Wolverhampton born Martin commented, ''I'm delighted to be on board, whilst playing for another season was probably more of the plan, the opportunity to join the gaffer and Gaz as part of the coaching team was too good to pass up. While I feel I still have plenty to offer on the pitch, and will be available for the gaffer if required, the coaching side of the game is where my long term footballing future lies, Its an exciting project and I'm looking forward to sinking my teeth into it.”

Also today we are delighted that Josh Coney has agreed terms to be Goalkeeping Coach for another season with us.

​

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to announce Paul Smith's Assistant Manager.

​

Paul has moved to appoint Gary Whild as his Assistant Manager.

​

Gary has held Manager and Assistant Manager positions at Kidderminster Harriers, Solihull Moors, Macclesfield, Barnet and Redditch as well as a spell as Head of Recruitment at Grimsby Town.

​

''Gary has a wealth of experience and success at this level and levels above,'' Paul Smith commented, ''his cv is very impressive.
I’m a football nerd, and I try and take something from everyone I work with. 
Experience and knowledge wise he will bring so much to the table. 
I’m looking forward to working with him.''

On his appointment Gary Commented, ''I'm delighted to come in to Halesowen. Looking from afar, the progression of the club both on and off the pitch over the last four years has been amazing. 
Having spoken with Paul and Keith I can see and feel their enthusiasm for the club and the future, it's infectious.

Paul Smith has moved swiftly to bring in prolific striker Miracle Okafor who last season scored 27 League goals for Sporting Khalsa helping to push them into a play-off spot.
