Halas Hawks

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to announce a partnership with Halesowen based football club Halas Hawks.

Halas Hawks are a well-established youth development club founded in 1980 now running twenty seven teams, playing at a competitive level, ranging from under 7’s (mini soccer) through to open age, including three girls only football teams, one open age ladies team and a veterans team. The teams play in various leagues according to the manager’s preference and are represented in the Stourbridge League, Mercian Girls League, CWGFL, Birmingham County Women’s Leagues and Worcester County Veterans League.

The partnership will be initially on a trial basis until the end of the current season but both sides are confident that it will be long standing.

Halesowen Town Vice-Chairman Dave Hawley commented ‘we are extremely proud to have a club with the stature of Halas Hawks joining Halesowen Town, local football is all about the local community and between us the names Halesowen Town and Halas Hawks will become synonymous in the local community, not just as two football clubs. We already have our established U-11 and U-12’s teams as well as the Youth Team and Academy, having Halas Hawks in partnership will open up opportunities to local players male and female of all ages to develop and enjoy their sport’

Before the game against Lancaster City a selection of Halas Hawks players were paraded in front of the crowd.
