Change of club ownership

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB would like to announce that Directors Karen Brookes and Keith McKenna are now officially joint owners of the club.

Colin Brookes who purchased the club from the Lynch family on June 29th this year will continue with his role as Club President and director.

Colin stated ‘’It was Karen and Keith who originally planned to purchase the club from the Lynch family, but after many setbacks it came to their notice that although the £50,000 sale had been agreed and solicitors appointed the Lynch family were inviting other parties to buy the club.’’

It was then agreed that Colin Brookes should step in with the help and assistance of Vice Chairman Dave Hawley to purchase the club, this was finally agreed on June 29th 2018.

Colin has asked that it is put on record that he would like to thank Karen and Keith for their financial input and hard work over the past few months, he has also paid tribute to the hard working committee and especially he thanks all the fans for their support and for donating almost £14,000 which was a massive help to kick-start the start of the season for the club and for Karen and Keith.

Colin ended by urging all the fans to continue their support to the club and to make Halesowen Town Football Club one to be proud of once more.
