Halesowen Town Football Club is proud to announce a historic merger with Halas Hawks FC, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for football in our community.
This strategic partnership brings together two clubs with deep local roots and a shared commitment to nurturing talent, promoting grassroots football, and strengthening the connection between the club and the wider Halesowen community.
By uniting under one badge, we are laying the foundations for long-term growth—on and off the pitch. The merger will create a clear and structured pathway from youth football right through to the first team, offering young players the opportunity to progress within a single, unified club environment.
Keith McKenna commented:
"The integration of Halas Hawks’ thriving youth setup into Halesowen Town FC will not only expand our player base and coaching network but also help us to develop a stronger, more sustainable future.
"Together, we will continue to grow our community presence, inspire the next generation, and build a club that reflects the pride and ambition of Halesowen.
"I would like to thank all parties involved and particular the Chairman of Halas, Rob Hickman in making this merger possible and look forward to the exciting times ahead."

Chairman’s Statement – On Behalf of the Halas Hawks JFC Senior Club Committee
Halas Hawks JFC is proud to announce that, after 45 years of grassroots football in Halesowen, we will be merging with Halesowen Town FC from the start of the 2025/26 season. This is a historic and exciting moment for our club—one that we believe will open the door to even greater opportunities for our players, coaches, and wider community.
As Chairman, and on behalf of the Senior Club Committee, I want to thank every player, parent, coach, and volunteer who has shaped our journey. Your commitment and belief in what we do has helped make Halas Hawks a cornerstone of junior football in the area.
This merger represents progress. It ensures long-term security while keeping the heart of the club intact—our values of inclusion, development, and community. Under the Halesowen Town name, we will continue to operate with the same spirit, and the same focus on giving young people the best possible football experience and opportunities.
From enhanced pathways into U18, U21 and senior football, to improved access to facilities, mentoring, and matchday experiences, this step forward brings with it real benefits—while maintaining what makes each team unique. Importantly, players will also gain access to educational opportunities through the club’s academy structure, supporting both their sporting and academic development.
We’re incredibly proud of what Halas Hawks has achieved over the last four and a half decades. That legacy will remain central to everything we do, and it will continue to be celebrated as we move forward together under a new banner.
Thank you for your continued support. This is not the end of an era—it’s the start of an exciting new one.
Rob Hickman
Chairman, Halas Hawks JFC
