Football evolves, it’s ever changing and players ultimately will come and go, old fans favourites become club legends, then it’s time for the new crop to stake their claim to fans hearts.

I’m sure this group has many new fans favourites amongst them.

I’m pleased how the squad is shaping up, not only with the new signings, but as important if not more was retaining a core group from last years squad, plenty more work to do with discussions on going, but I feel we’ve made a good start.''

We would like to thank those departing for their services for the Yeltz and wish them well in their next ventures.

New Signing

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB are delighted to announce the signing of a new striker ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Jamie Insall  has signed contract terms that will commence upon the completion of his deal with Connah Quay.

Jamie brings with him a wealth of experience and has featured in the Champions League in the last two seasons.

On signing Jamie had this to say, ''I’m delighted that I have signed a contract with Halesowen. The thought of teaming up with Paul, and working together to reach the clubs goals going forward was too hard to turn down.  The gaffer has explained to me the vision he and the owners have for the club, it excites me. I can’t wait to get started, and help the club get out of this league and beyond. I look forward to putting on the famous blue jersey and perform in front of our amazing Yeltz fan base.

''Ultimately we fell short last year,'' Paul Smith stated, ''so it’s my job to improve the group, and go into next season with a stronger squad than what we finished with.  Jamie is a huge signal of intent, a fantastic signing for the club with great pedigree.  It’s an exciting first new signing for the 22/23 campaign.

Welcome to the Yeltz Jamie.

Player departs

HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB can today confirm a player departure.

After three years Josh Hawker has decided to leave in search  for football higher up the non league pyramid.
He goes with all our blessings, and we thank him for his fantastic contribution.

Josh was one of Paul smith's firsts signings in the summer of 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the first names of the team sheet.

Since then Josh has gone on to make 92 Yeltz appearances scoring 5 goals.

Hawks was recently awarded Manager's Player of the Season, a testiment to how highly he is thought of.

We are sure you will join us in wishing Josh all the best for the Future.
