Halesowen Town Football Club, Welcome Gateshead FC of the National League North to The Grove this weekend in the latest round of the FA Trophy.

So far in November The Yeltz are unbeaten scoring 17 goals and only conceding 1 which was in the last round of the trophy against Grantham Town.  Halesowen have seriously impressed so far this season and should be serious contenders for the league title this year sitting in third place with 24 points from their first ten league games with still three games in hand on teams above and nine points of the top.

To get this far in the FA Trophy The Yeltz have seen off the likes of Dereham Town, Evesham United, Stamford and Grantham Town scoring 13 goals and only conceding 5 so far in this competition, just how far can Paul Smith and his coaching staff take this amazing club.

Gateshead are currently two leagues above Halesowen in the National League North currently sit in 11th place on 23 points from their 15 games.  During the week they lost away from home to Altrincham 3-0 a team who met in the FA Cup in front of the BBC cameras and gave them a game and easily could of took something from that game.  This is the first round that Gateshead have joined the FA Trophy this year.

The last time that both teams met was back in the FA Trophy in 2014 when Halesowen Town travelled to the north and lost out in a 2-0 defeat, but since then a lot has changed at The Yeltz.  Can we cause an upset and pull of a win in the latest meeting.  The furthest The Yeltz have been in the FA Trophy was back in 2002-03 season where we got to the Third round proper just how far can we go this season.

Let’s get the shed full of noise keep this excellent run of form going and get to the First Round of the trophy.
