Find out everything you need to know ahead of Halesowen’s final Southern League Central Premier clash with Berkhamsted.

 

WHEN AND WHERE

We travel to Berkhamsted this weekend, Saturday 27 April 2024 for a 3PM kickoff against the already relegated Berkhamsted FC.

Looks like there is going to be a good number of Yeltz fans travelling down for this one, if you can’t make it in person, there will be live updates and reports on our official social media channels as well as Radio Halesowen.

 

PREVIOUS MEETING

Our last meeting was back on Saturday 18 November 2023 at The Grove, where goals came from Donnelly & Okafor in a 2-1 victory for Halesowen Town with Berkhamsted’s goal coming in the last minutes of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

LAST TIME OUT

Halesowen Town played their final home game of the season last weekend as we faced in form side St Ives Town. In a 7 goal thriller, it was Halesowen who started fastest with a after just 8 minutes, St Ives equalised in the 28th minute and took the lead in the 29th.  Well worked free kick for Halesowen in the 34th minute from 25 yards out to get back level, but the visitors re-took the lead in the 37th minute.  Second half it was Wynter to get us level again in the 55th minute and then in the 67th minute a superb crossshot from Hickman into the net to make it 4-3 to Halesowen Town. What a match.

As for Berkhamsted, they were away from home last weekend against Telford.  A game that saw 8 goals, Telford ahead at the break 1-0, Berkhamsted got level after the break with a header from the corner but Telford just kept up the attack and goals kept going into the Berkhamsted net in a 6-2 defeat for the relegated side.

 

LEAGUE POSITIONS

Halesowen Town sit in 8th place in the Southern League Premier Central with 59 points, after scoring 53 goals this season & conceding 50.  While Berkhamsted are relegated and sit in 20th place with 21 points, after scoring 31 goals & conceding 83.

 

A good number are travelling this weekend, lets make it full of Yeltz noise and help Russ Penn’s Halesowen boys finish the season off with another 3 points.
