Pre-Season Home Friendlies Posted 27th July 2021
HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB would like to confirm the following information ahead of our home friendlies:
Stourbridge, this game will be pay on the gate only
This game and the fixture at Stourbridge on Tuesday 3rd August will become the Brookes Clark Charity Shield - which we intend to become an annual event between Stourbridge FC and Halesowen Town FC.
The shield is named after two very long serving and legendary figures at their respective clubs.
The winner, over the two legs will receive a Charity Shield and commence the season with a first trophy win and positive momentum into the new season.
For each game the home team will be supporting their own charity, at the Grove we have chosen to support Cancer Research. There will be bucket collections at both games and we would please ask that you give what you can.
We look forward to welcoming our fans and those of Stourbridge FC to The Grove in the Number 9 Derby - for our first Brookes Clark Charity Shield.
Supporters information for both games
Given the lifting of some of the COVID restrictions we have been living with, at The Grove we will be continuing with some of the measures to continue to keep us safe:
- We are asking individuals to click on NHS QR Code when entering social club, in the event we have any positive cases to report.
- Also when queuing for, paying and collecting drinks in the social club we will be asking individuals to wear their masks, unless exempt and to maintain 1 metre social distancing.
- It clearly is up to individuals and a personal choice whether they wear their masks when outside within the stadium.
- When standing in the ‘Shed End’ there are pens in place and we would ask individuals to remain in their small social groups and keep the middle walk way clear for fans walking to other areas of the stadium and stewards working to keep everyone safe and enjoying the match.
