Armistice weekend

This Saturday sees the Yeltz play against Grantham Town in the Buildbase FA Trophy at the Grove.

​

As Armistice weekend approaches this is our closest game to Remembrance Sunday and as such will be remembering all those that have served and fallen, and made the ultimate sacrifice.

 

We will be holding a minutes silence in respect of this prior to kick off, a bugler will be playing the last post and the Yeltz players shirts will have a poppy affixed as a mark of respect.

 

We will also have The Royal British Legion in attendance selling poppies around the ground.

 

Grantham Town have very kindly agreed with us that serving and ex-service personnel will receive free admission to Saturday’s game on production of a valid ID.

 

The game will take place at the Grove, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen B63 3TB 3pm ko.

 

The ID requirements for entry are as follows:

 

For serving personnel: A valid military personnel or MOD card, Rewards for Forces ID card, Band of Brothers Card or Defence Privilege Card.

 

For veterans: A leaving certificate, proof of War Pension or Armed Forces Compensation, Rewards for Forces ID card, Band of Brothers Card or Defence Privilege Card.
